How The Bread and Roses Community Arts Hub CIC handles your personal information when you use this website.
Last updated 4 August 2026.
This website is run by The Bread and Roses Community Arts Hub CIC, 62 Ebrington Street, Plymouth, PL4 9AF. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on 01752 659861 or at info@breadandrosesplymouth.co.uk.
When you use our contact form. We collect the name, email address, subject and message you enter. Alongside your message we also record the date and time, the page you submitted from, your IP address and your browser's user agent string. Your message is emailed to us and also stored in this website's database so that we do not lose it.
Cookies. We set a small number of cookies, described in the section below.
Staff accounts. Members of our team who log in to add events have an account on this site holding their username and email address. WordPress sets login cookies for them while they are signed in.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
We handle contact form messages on the basis of our legitimate interests, namely replying to enquiries about the venue, our programme and performing here. Non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months so that we can follow up on bookings and performer submissions, then delete them. Cookie consent records last up to 12 months. Staff accounts are removed when someone stops working with us.
Your information is handled by our website hosting provider and our email provider so that this site can run and so that we can receive your message. They act on our instructions and do not use your information for their own purposes. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Google Maps. Our contact page includes a map supplied by Google. When you open that page the map loads from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and information about your browser, and may set its own cookies. This happens only on the contact page. If you would prefer not to load it, you can look us up on Google Maps in a separate tab instead, or get in touch by phone or email.
Essential cookies make the site work. These include a cookie recording your cookie choices, and login and session cookies for staff. These are set without consent because the site cannot function properly without them.
Non-essential cookies covering functionality, analytics and advertising categories are only set if you accept them. You can accept all, reject all, or choose per category using the cookie banner, and you can change your mind later using the cookie settings control on any page.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to object to how we are using it, and to ask us to restrict how we use it. Email us at info@breadandrosesplymouth.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
